The Uniqueness of Colorado

At a mile high, those of us at Prince Institute—Rocky Mountains (PIRM) have a slightly different perspective on life. Open space here in Colorado does not refer to a parking spot at the mall, but is instead the gateway to where the green of the trees meets the blue of the skies. Going out for a run here can be done in either sneakers or skis—and Mary Jane, while she’s not a student, will definitely school you!
Our school is located at the base of the Rocky Mountain foothills, about halfway between Denver and Boulder. We call them foothills, you’ll call them magnificent. It is like living on a stage with an ever-changing backdrop. The mountains never look the same way twice.
In nearby Colorado Springs is a place called Garden of the Gods, but this is definitely not your grandmother’s garden club. And the stars that we watch perform on a naturally made red rock amphitheatre must compete with the stars that shine above, as bright as the city lights themselves.
Speaking of stars, when someone here mentions Celestial, we think of tea. And a Croc isn’t something you fear; it’s something you wear.
Our students come from all walks of life, and we range in age from those who are just out of high school or college to those who wish to reinvent themselves later in life. We are a unique combination of the brightest and the best, living in a unique state which offers one of the brightest and best lifestyles to be found anywhere in the U.S.
